HEALING THE CHILDREN’S BREAD ( by Dr. Lilian B. Yeomans)

There has been SO MUCH attack on the health of our church people this month that I felt led to attack BACK with the Word of God ! !

LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF HEALTH & SICKNESS:

God created Adam and his wife - and it was VERY good - no sickness there . . .

Gen 1:26-31 (NIV)

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

. . .

31 God saw all that he had made, and IT WAS VERY GOOD. And there was evening, and there was morning-- the sixth day.

If God WANTED and PLANNED for sickness to be a part of our learning and every day life, He would have created it WITH His perfect creation ! ! !

NO sickness in ALL OF ISRAEL on the day they left Egypt

Ps 105:36-38 (KJV)

36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

36 Then he killed the oldest child in each Egyptian home, their pride and joy--

37 and brought his people safely out from Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; there were no sick and feeble folk among them then.

38 Egypt was glad when they were gone, for the dread of them was great.

Healing is the children’s bread

Matt 15:22-28 (NIV)

22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."

24 He answered, "I was sent only to the LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL (THE CHILDREN OF GOD)."

25 The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

26 He replied, "It is not right to take THE CHILDREN'S BREAD and toss it to their dogs."

27 "Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."

28 Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

WE ARE NOW THE CHILDREN OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS :) WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD (1 John 3:2) AND ARE ENTITLED TO "THE CHILDREN’S BREAD"

Ps 23:5-6 (KJV)

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies (I wonder if there is any BREAD on that table?): thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy (and sickness and disease?? I think not ! ! !) shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I Jn 3:8 (KJV)

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

SO, Jesus DESTROYED the works of the devil ... what did Jesus spend a large portion of His ministry DOING?? HEALING ! ! !

Acts 10:38 (NIV)

38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and HEALING all who were UNDER THE POWER OF THE DEVIL, because God was with him.

EVERY KINGDOM DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF WILL FALL .... WHY would Jesus HEAL if God the Father PUT the sicknesses on people .. It would be GOING AGAINST THE FATHER’S WILL ! ! !

FINALLY, let’s examine the famous "healing scriptures" in the Old and New Testaments:

Isa 53:4-5 (NIV)

4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

1 Pet 2:24-25 (KJV)

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

HEALING is the children’s BREAD - what do we DO with bread? Then THAT’S what we need to do with the WORD of HEALING ! ! !

Matt 4:3-4 (KJV)

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made BREAD.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

EAT the WORD of HEALING like bread:

Jer 15:16 (KJV)

16 THY WORDS were found, and I did EAT THEM; and THY WORD was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

EAT (take) the WORD of HEALING like medicine:

Prov 4:20-22 (NIV)

20 My son, #1).pay attention to what I say; #2).listen closely to my words.

21 #3).Do not let them out of your sight, #4). keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
